My Story

My Story

Life is more than a 9-to-5 — it’s the sum of the faith that grounds us, the music that moves us, and the history that teaches us who we are.

Faith & Roots

My name is Robby Lowe, and I am years old. I’m a born-again Christian living in Lawton, Oklahoma. For me, faith isn’t a Sunday-only ritual; it’s the lens through which I see every challenge and every blessing.

Growing up with both Methodist and Catholic roots gave me a foundation I didn’t fully appreciate until later in life. Today, I’m still a student of the Word — learning, growing, and staying grateful for the path God has set before me.

The Tech & The Tunes

I’ve spent the last five years at Staples as a Merchandise & Inventory Supervisor. There’s a genuine satisfaction in taking a problem that has someone stressed out and handing back a solution — it’s what I do best.

When the red shirt comes off, the instruments come out. Whether it’s my Loar mandolin, Gretsch, or Mitchell guitar, music is how I reset. If I’m not playing, I’m likely hiking the Wichita Mountains or deep in a game of chess.

The Journey So Far

Life has taken me further than most people from Lawton might expect. My first move was to Tulsa to attend Spartan School of Aeronautics — aviation seemed like the path, until I got there and realized it wasn’t quite the right fit for me.

From there I found my way to Waynesville, where I stumbled into something I didn’t expect — a genuine love for film. I worked as a lead projectionist, and there was something about being the person who brought those stories to life on the big screen that stuck with me.

Then in 2010 I packed up and moved to Orlando, Florida, thinking I was ready to take on the world. As it turns out, the world had plenty to teach me instead. That experience left me with one truth I carry every day:

“Life isn’t as hard as we make it out to be — unless we make it hard on ourselves.”

I’ve learned that peace comes when you stop fighting your circumstances and start learning from them. I’m taking it one day at a time, hopeful for the next chapter.

Dreams & Realities

The dream hasn’t faded — I still want to pen a book on American history, experience the “Mother Church” of country music at the Ryman Auditorium, and walk the historic streets of Boston and D.C.

In 2019, life slowed me down when I was diagnosed with Dissociative Seizures. While it means staying closer to home and managing stress more carefully, it hasn’t stopped the dreaming. I’m staying ready; when the right door opens, I’ll be prepared to walk through it.

What I Know Now

Life isn’t about “fairness” — it’s about the lessons we choose to learn. We all make mistakes, but the beauty of grace is that we don’t have to repeat them. None of us have it all figured out, and that’s exactly where the growth happens.

Every day, I’m maturing, healing, and repairing the parts of my story that need work. I don’t know what the final page looks like, but I’m working on becoming someone I can believe in again — one choice, one step, and one prayer at a time.
